Talk Pretty To Me // May 2018

Talk Pretty to Me is a feature every 1st week of the month where we give a little life update about our plans and what we’re up to this month.

I just got back from a trip to Korea and what can I say, I think I’m still stuck on cloud nine! April has really been a tough one with work being more stressful than usual, so taking a week off to travel has done wonders for me. I feel so much more refreshed, elated, and energetic for what’s to come. I’ll be blogging about my travel diaries for this trip, for sure!! Plus, I also can’t wait to share photos and my shopping haul! 💜

Taking that break also allowed me to clear my head a bit and focus on things that matter. Lately, I’ve been thinking much about fulfillment, happiness, and success, and have realized that the only way I’ll rid myself of the sudden feelings of anxiety and disappointment is if I redefine my definition of these. I’ve always set standards, goals, and timelines to meet, but now instead, I just want to treat myself better, love myself more, and be a kinder person to the universe and the people around me. I’ve started believing that it all starts in improving oneself, then fulfillment, happiness and success will surely follow after.

In short, I just want to focus more on spreading my sunshine to the world in whatever way I can! ☀️ I hope I’m able to light up your day in some way or another! 🤗 Have a great month of May!

April was a month filled with new experiences! I had my very first work immersion in Metrobank’s head office. I interned there for only 2 weeks straight, but I already felt like I learned a lot more than I ever did in school. Also, I’ve met a lot of great people there, which kind of allowed me to open up a new perspective of what it’s like in the office workplace. Aside from that, I also attended several birthday parties of my closest friends. There were a lot of food, drinks and laughter! 😀

This month, there are a lot a lot of graduation related activities. I just attended graduation picture taking then I’ll be attending graduation practices and our graduation ball in days to come! Also, my batch just had this retreat at Tagaytay for 3 days and 2 nights. It was like the perfect time to bond with my batch mates before we all graduate and go separate ways. I’m really excited to graduate and finally be done with high school, but I’ll definitely miss the people. This May, I want to make sure that I’ll be making the most of the time left before I graduate. I hope that aside from that, I can also focus for real with this blog! I hope that I can actually think of more blog ideas now that I have more time on my hands. 🙂

AUDREY You could call this the month of goodbyes, maybe. I’m transferring to a new school, so by next month, I’ll be surrounded by entirely different people. I’ll even be moving to a different area, so it really is a huge change for me. Right now, I’m preparing my goodbyes: writing letters for people, preparing photos, and asking people to leave me letters too. It’s a little sentimental of me, but I really will miss the people I’ll be leaving behind. I’ve been with them since I started studying, and now I’ll have to say goodbye. I just hope I can really spend this month free of regret while making the most of the time I have left.

Since, I’ll be moving in to a new house, I’ll also have to prepare my stuff soon. I’m really looking forward to the people I’ll meet there and the new environment. I don’t think I’ll ever feel ready for this level of change, really, but I know I’ll adjust soon. When things settle down, I think I’ll have more time for my hobbies like blogging, writing, etc., so I’m excited to see where I can go with those too! Wish me luck guys because I’m gonna need it! 🙂
