Review // Peripera Ink Concealer

I have been looking for a good concealer to try out for probably the longest time now. I was stuck with Maybelline’s FitMe Concealer that was not even the right shade for my skin tone. I knew I wanted a concealer that’s budget-friendly and at the same time had good coverage for my skin tone, so when I saw the 15% off sale going on in Peripera, I knew I had to grab this concealer out. It seemed to fit all my requirements for a concealer. After trying this for several times, I have finally gathered some thoughts.

Product Details:

What: Peripera Ink Concealer

“A silky-smooth cream concealer that delivers the appearance of flawless skin all day long.”

Amount: 8g / 0.28 oz

Where to buy: Club Clio is already available in select malls and department stores in Manila such as Trinoma and North Edsa. It’s also available online in Beautymnl, Althea, and Zalora.

Shades available:

#01 Cover King Vanilla – Shade I Bought

#02 Blemish Hider Beige

Price: I got it on sale for Php. 380.00

Packaging: With no doubt, this dropper-like packaging that Peripera has going on with a lot of its products is one of my favorites! Peripera’s one of the few brands I know that is able to make their packaging cute and trendy yet still remain practical to use.

The packaging is the same with Peripera’s famous Airy Ink Velvets, where in the bottles look more like frosted glass. It’s unlike the traditional Ink Velvet that comes in a full matte bottle. This comes with the same doe-foot applicator as well.

Texture: I love how the consistency is very creamy. It’s not very thick nor is it thin. It’s the perfect in between. It glides on easily and its able to get just enough product on selected areas.

Application: I’m so glad that this does not oxidize. It stays true to its real shade, which is perfect because it’s a bit lighter than my skin, so it’s able to brighten some areas on my face. Also, I had this one huge pimple during the first time I tried this out, and I was actually amazed how it was able to conceal it well. The pimple was a lot less obvious especially from afar. One thing though, this does not last the longest. After around 3-4 hours, you’ll see how it starts to fade. When it fades on flat areas of your face, creases are not obvious. However, when it’s applied on the sides of the nose on normal skin, it tends to crease and become a bit patchy after some time.

Scent: None.

Value for Money: I think it’s worth it! For only around Php. 380.00, it already has 8g of product. I’ll be able to get a lot of use out of this too with its creamy and lightweight formula. I tend to get a lot of breakouts, so this would be perfect. 🙂

Verdict: Overall, I think this concealer is worth a try. It might not be the best concealer out there, but it’s able to deliver coverage with its lightweight formula. As long as you don’t go out for the whole day wearing the concealer, I don’t think there’ll be much of a problem. I love the shade too, but there are only shades available to choose from since Korean brands tend to only sell shades for light skin tones. For now, I know I’ll be using this a lot, and it might just be one of my current faves.
