Outfit Diaries // Fresh Painting

Hi guys! It’s been a while since we last posted because we’ve been so swamped with work :(( I recently finished up one of the events that was taking up quite a bit of my time, and on that day, school let off early, so I decided to spend the whole day blogging. Since it’s been a while, I wanted to post something that truly has my heart in it, and I thought that the best way to do that is to show you guys a look that I love as well. I’ve been interested in fashion for a long time now, longer than I’ve been into makeup, so the combination of the two—plus photography, which I thoroughly enjoy as well—makes the perfect blogpost to express myself. I’m trying out a different style of writing here, but I hope you guys enjoy it!

Fresh Painting

Today, I’ll paint a picture of red and blue on a canvas of smooth, stark white.

And maybe I’ll add flowers curving over rough-cut edges and let them rest—just barely—on sure thighs.

There are little details you won’t notice at first, like the rolled up layers of  thick fringe that brush lightly over my knees.

Or the lines of darkest blue extending from glazed cream shoes.

If you follow me, I suppose I’ll show you something a little flashy because this painting isn’t simple. It’s not simple at all.

Some paintings are kept in cold, little frames, but I’d like mine to be graced by the sun—

fading the red

and wearing out the blue

and drawing a richer brown from shades close to black.

If you keep it there, I think I’d be happy.

I’ve painted a picture of red and blue on smooth, stark white, and today, I think I’d like to gift it to you.
