Review // J.cat Love Struck Glam Glow Powder + Blinkle Shimmer Eyeshadow

I went to the mall a few weeks ago and saw a bright and colorful new makeup store, so I was immediately lured in. I was surprised that all their products are affordable and actually seemed to have great formulas! I decided to try some out, and to my surprise they even had a buy 2 get 1 free promo! 🙂 It’s my very first time trying out J.cat products, so here is my honest review of some of the products I got!

Product Details: Highly pigmented eyeshadow that provides creaminess to the touch with a great color payoff. Achieve a foil finish with a wet brush.

My Thoughts:

Packaging: The eye shadow is placed in a circular light weight plastic packaging. The front part has stars printed all over, the logo, and also the name of the eyeshadow printed. At the back, the details of the eye shadow are printed such as the ingredients used, shade name, etc. I think the packaging is okay. It’s not very eye catching, but it’s not like it’s ugly. I bought this not because of the packaging but because of the formulation and color.

Texture: I’m impressed with how creamy and soft this is! With just 1-2 swipes, you really get great color payoff. I first tried using my fingers with this, and when I swiped it on to my hand, all the pigmentation transferred to my hand. I was so amazed because it truly does live up to its claims.

Scent: It just has this typical makeup scent. It’s not very strong though, so you won’t be able to smell anything when you’re applying it.

Application: Very easy to apply! I recommend using you fingers to apply this over the lid because you’ll get the best color payoff through that. You can also use a flat synthetic brush, and it would still show the color. Using a wet brush would make it look more foiled than it already is. 🙂 It does not last the whole day though, so you can maybe bring it with you and just reapply.

Verdict:

PROS:

Amazing pigmentation

Easy to apply

Affordable

CONS:

Has a light makeup scent

Product Details: A groundbreaking hybrid that combines the customized cheek blush and bronzer shimmer.

Each hand-stamped Cat formatted with healthy shimmery minerals- creating the perfect balance of pigment gives the effect of “bronzer”.

Will deliver a radiant, natural finish and offer buildable color to imbue the entire complexion.

My Thoughts:

Packaging: It comes in a circular light weight plastic packaging again; however, this time it simply has the name of the product at the front with the logo, and the details at the back. It’s a very simple packaging, but I’m not very fond of it. It does not look classy, but I’m not really mad since I bought this for the product itself again and not the packaging.

Texture: It has an incredibly soft powdery texture. It feels matte, but there are some shimmers from the hand-stamped cat. When you first use it, it actually makes a mess so be careful with that. All the glitters come off the stamped cat until all that’s left is the peachy pink color with shimmers all over. I’m not a fan with how they stamped the cat and the loose glitters, but other than that the formula is great!

Scent: It smells like typical makeup again, but this time it’s less intense in comparison to the eyeshadow. I don’t like the scent, but it does not smell bad when you’re applying it on to your face.

Application: If you want a light pop of color to the cheeks, you should use a very light hand with this. It has great color payoff, so it’s kind of obvious that you’re wearing blush. I don’t think this color suits me very well though, but I’ll still use it more. I might grow to like it more.

Verdict:

PROS:

Affordable blush

Soft texture and pigmented

CONS:

Packaging feels inexpensive

Can get messy
